FAQs

ProRehab Center

  • What insurance plans does ProRehab Center accept?

We accept a wide range of insurance plans, including major providers like Sanford Health and BlueCross BlueShield. Our coverage also extends to Medicare, PPOs, HMOs, and worker's compensation insurance. It's important to note that insurance policies can vary significantly in their coverage for physical and occupational therapy services. Patients are responsible for copays and any services not covered by their insurance. Please be aware that ProRehab Center doesn't provide services under Medical Assistance (MA).
  • What if I don't have any health insurance?

For patients without insurance or those who are underinsured, ProRehab Center offers competitive rates and flexible payment options. We encourage you to schedule a complimentary initial consultation, during which we'll discuss and arrange suitable self-payment plans tailored to your situation.
  • Do I need a referral from my physician to have an appointment at ProRehab Center?

The need for a physician referral depends on your specific insurance plan. For instance, many Blue Cross Blue Shield of ND policies don't require a referral for therapy. We recommend checking with your insurance provider or contacting our office directly to determine if a referral is necessary for your particular situation.
  • My physician referred me to therapy at another clinic, but I'd like to come to ProRehab Center. What should I do?

If you prefer to receive therapy at ProRehab Center, you have the right to request that your physician refer you to our facility. We're committed to collaborating with all physicians to keep them informed about your progress. We'll also ensure you're aware of any potential differences in insurance coverage that may arise from this change.
  • What is the difference between a CONSULTATION and an APPOINTMENT?

ProRehab Center offers a complimentary consultation where you can meet with one of our physical or occupational therapists to determine if therapy is appropriate for your needs. No referral is required for this initial meeting. If you decide to proceed with therapy, we'll schedule a paid appointment for a comprehensive evaluation and to begin your treatment. This appointment will be billed to your insurance company.
  • Is ProRehab Center affiliated with a network?

Yes, ProRehab Center is a proud member of the Heartland Healthcare Network, which is an alliance comprising over 250 independent healthcare providers.
  • What if my insurance plan is part of a medical network?

If your insurance plan specifies a particular medical network, our team will assist you in determining if there are any differences in coverage rates. We'll explain how these differences might affect your out-of-pocket expenses for our services.
  • How do I set up a consultation or an appointment for therapy?

You can schedule a consultation or appointment by either calling our office directly or by asking your primary healthcare provider to make the appointment on your behalf. The duration of follow-up appointments typically ranges from 20 minutes to an hour, depending on the treatment plan you and your therapist agree upon.
  • What will happen at my first visit?

Your initial visit will be scheduled based on your therapist's assessment, which could involve one visit or multiple visits up to three times a week for four weeks. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early and allocating about 75 minutes for your first appointment. Subsequent visits usually last an hour. Your first visit will typically include completing paperwork about your medical history and insurance, a comprehensive health evaluation, and the development of a personalized treatment plan. Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement and bring a list of your current medications.
